ABOUT THE SUSSEX WASPS MINI GOLF CLUB
The Sussex Wasps Mini Golf Club started in 2014 with founding member and captain, Steve Lovell playing out of the Splash Point mini golf course in Worthing. Steve wanted to start his own club as there wasn't anything in the local area.
When Paul Preston made his debut on the BMGA Tour at the 2014 British Masters at Splash Point, Steve wasted no time in asking Paul if he wanted to be a member of the SWMGC. Paul said yes without hesitation and became Vice-Captain. Steve Ragless also joined the Wasps soon after.
Paul then recruited (e.g roped in) his Dad, Harry to play on the tour and he himself has become a Wasps member playing whenever he can.
Following other tour events on the BMGA Tour, the Wasps have gone from strength to strength having some great developing talent from Andy Wilde, Derek Bentall, Ed Pope and the young Chris Hillman. We also have a guest player, Nuno Cunha who appears for the team at the British Club Championships.
The Sussex Wasps are always looking for new members whether they want to play regularly or socially. We all thoroughly recommend playing mini golf to anyone as it is a great social club with no heirs and graces and are all keen and enthusiastic players.
